Tips Before Your Ride

1. Wear the Right Gear:

  • Clothing: Choose clothes you don’t mind getting dirty or wet, as you’ll be riding through mud pools, rice fields, rivers, and waterfalls.
  • Footwear: Wear sturdy, waterproof shoes or boots. Avoid sandals or open-toe shoes to protect your feet and avoid slipping.
  • Extra Clothes: Bring a change of clothes for after the ride. The combination of mud and water means you’ll likely get dirty, so having something dry and clean to change into will be a relief.

2. Waterproof Your Belongings:

  • Plastic Bags/Waterproof Bags: If you’re bringing a phone, camera, or other valuables, ensure they’re stored in waterproof bags. The ride can get very wet, especially near waterfalls and river crossings.

3. Stay Hydrated and Energized:

  • Water: Drink plenty of water before your ride to stay hydrated, but avoid excessive amounts to prevent discomfort during the ride.
  • Snacks: Eat a light snack before you start to keep your energy levels up without feeling too full.

4. Mental Preparation:

  • Expect a Thrill: The tracks include an iron flying bridge, which can be a bit nerve-wracking for those afraid of heights. Mentally prepare for some adrenaline-pumping moments.
  • Safety Briefing: Listen carefully to the safety instructions provided by your guide. Knowing how to handle your ATV on different terrains is crucial for a safe and enjoyable ride.

5. Protect Yourself from the Elements:

  • Sunscreen: Even if the weather is cloudy, Bali’s sun can be strong. Apply sunscreen to avoid sunburn.
  • Insect Repellent: The ride through rice fields and near water can attract insects, so applying insect repellent is a good idea.

Tips After Your Ride

1. Clean Up:

  • Changing Rooms: After a fun, muddy ride, you’ll appreciate having a place to clean up. Change into the clean clothes you brought with you, and use the facilities to rinse off any dirt.
  • Towel: Bring a towel to dry off after riding through water features like rivers and waterfalls.
